Geographical information system or GIS is a system that creates, stores, maps and analyzes the real world/spatial/ geographical data and gives us a spatial understanding of the data that can aid in several important scenarios be it analytical and decision making.

As a part of the GIS community and being fellow GIS enthusiasts we will be celebrating International GIS day 2021 dated 17th November 2021.
We will be conducting an exciting series of events spread across the whole week starting from 15th November till 19th November.
With this we aim at exchanging knowledge about GIS, highlighting its importance and applications through various fun and interactive events.

Save the date. Get ready to celebrate the GIS day (week) virtually this year.

These events are open for anyone, so even if you are a student, researcher, or working professional you can register yourself free of cost and take part in these quick fun events that may help you brainstorm a little about the basic GIS concepts. We also have short fun sessions planned on our Instagram page (ids linked below) so make sure to check that out as well.

This year also we have some exciting prizes and giveaways for all the winners which will help polish your GIS skills and we are sure you don’t wanna miss that.

Apart from this, we will also be providing participatory certificates to contestants competing in all the events.
